The Opportunity
Homeward Bound of Marin is a dynamic and evolving non-profit agency working to end homelessness in Marin County through affordable housing development, supportive services, job training, and social enterprise. With a successful 50-year history and strong interdisciplinary partnerships with other private and public partners, Homeward Bound is positioned for impactful growth over the next decade.
We’re looking for a Program Coordinator to join our adult shelter and housing team and support residents as they build stability and self-sufficiency. In this role, you’ll work with participants in our newly opened 26-unit workforce housing program, which provides affordable housing for adults and families transitioning out of homelessness. Residents are employed in the local community, and you will help them maintain their housing, navigate challenges, and move toward greater independence. Through consistent, onsite support, you’ll play a key role in ensuring residents feel supported, seen, and genuinely set up for long-term success.
The Candidate
At the heart of our work is a mission of Opening Doors to Safety, Dignity, Hope, and Independence. We’re looking for someone who brings compassion, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to supporting personal growth, and who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate has experience in case management or supportive services and is comfortable working alongside individuals and families impacted by homelessness and other complex systems. You communicate with empathy and clarity, approach challenges with patience and flexibility, and balance encouragement with accountability as you help residents build stability, confidence, and long-term independence.
