Job Description:

You will build, deploy and operate a cloud-native healthcare interoperability and clinical data platform. This is a hands-on engineering role where your work directly impacts clinical system availability, secure data handling and AI-ready analytics. You will own end-to-end technical delivery, from cloud infrastructure to APIs, integrations and pipelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Cloud Engineering and Infrastructure

Build and maintain secure cloud landing zones in AWS, Azure or GCPImplement cloud migrations (rehost, re-platform, refactor) with minimal downtimeConfigure multi-region resilience, disaster recovery and backup strategiesDeploy infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalentAutomate deployments via CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)

Healthcare Data and Integration

Build HL7, FHIR, CDA, X12 ingestion pipelines and integration frameworksDevelop APIs, event-driven workflows and streaming pipelines for real-time clinical dataOperate and optimize enterprise data platforms, including storage, lifecycle and lineagePrepare data for AI/ML and analytics applications while ensuring clinical accuracy

Security and Compliance

Implement HIPAA/HITECH/SOC2/HITRUST aligned controls in deployed environmentsConfigure encryption, access management, audit logging and monitoringEnsure PHI isolation and multi-tenant SaaS security at the platform level

Operational Excellence

Monitor cloud performance, reliability and cost using observability toolsTroubleshoot production issues across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines and APIsOptimize deployments for resilience, scalability and cost efficiencyApply FinOps practices to track usage, cost and resource efficiency

Qualifications:

5+ years hands-on experience building and running cloud platforms in healthcare or regulated industriesStrong record of designing and deploying high availability healthcare data systemsExperience modernizing legacy systems and integrating EHR/EMR or Health Information ExchangesProficiency in AWS, Azure or GCP, including compute, storage, networking and security

Technical Skills

Cloud-native engineering: microservices, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, IaC, CI/CDHealthcare interoperability: HL7, FHIR, CDA, X12Integration and pipelines: APIs, event streaming (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub), ETL/ELTSecurity and compliance: encryption, IAM, logging, PHI isolation, SaaS multi-tenancyData platform operations: lifecycle management, lineage tracking, archival, AI-ready datasets

Preferred
