About This Position

Description:

LivINN Hotels is a small business in hospitality in Burnsville, MN. We are professional, agile, fast-paced and our goal is to provide exceptional and memorable experiences for guest and residents. We have properties around the metro and in Sharonville OH.

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing and folding laundry as needed. The Laundry Attendant is also responsible for the daily maintenance of laundry equipment and track supplies used. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.

Part Time: Saturdays 5 pm - 10 pm, Sundays 11am - 7pm

Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour

Requirements:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Washes laundry, removing stains from items with appropriate procedures as needed.
  • Folds laundry and store in neat and organized fashion.
  • Assist housekeepers with taking soiled laundry to laundry room.
  • Keeps laundry area clean and free from trash.
  • Keeps an updated inventory of laundry detergents.
  • Tracks maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment and reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
  • Attend meetings and training courses as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
  • Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff and customers.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must pass a background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Willingness to work varying shift lengths depending on seasonal demands.
