Job Description
Reporting to the University Registrar, the Assistant Registrar for Course Management maintains areas of academic calendars, class scheduling, space management, and program and course inventory management. This includes including new programs, teach out programs, and program discontinuations.

- Maintain Degree Program information including new programs, teach out programs, and program discontinuations.
- Maintain Course Catalog including new courses, course changes, teach out courses, and discontinued courses.
- Maintain University academic calendar.
- Oversee University Degree Audit System and assist in troubleshooting as needed.
- Oversee University Curriculum Tracks and assist in troubleshooting as needed.
- Occasionally serve on Associate Deans Council, the University Courses and Curriculum Council, the Facilities Planning Committee, and Ad Hoc committees and councils as needed.
- Serve on faculty senate as needed on a rolling basis.
- Manage university scheduling software and share information for university scheduling software.
- Schedule classes needing space in the university classroom pool in a conflict free manner.
- Schedule events around classroom times for departments and faculty in a conflict free manner.
- Serve as secondary trainer for all things degree audit, curriculum tracks, and block registration.
- Assist the Registrar’s Office and Student Affairs in general with any special projects as needed or determined by the University Registrar and/or Vice President of Student Affairs.
- Serve as primary backup for the Associate Registrar.
- Ensure compliance with courses meeting minimum instructional time.
- Coordinate with colleges on academic scheduling.
- Present to individual colleges and the university at large on course and space data as requested.
- Provide various sets of data to faculty and staff upon request.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline. Course work related to Education Public Administration or Data Analytics preferred.
- A minimum of two years related administrative higher education program and student support experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Prior experience working with university ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and multi-task efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in an appropriate discipline.
- Experience in registrar or student records preferred.
- Prior experience with Ellucian Colleague.
- Knowledge of higher education accreditation standards and reporting responsibilities.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional higher education policies and practices.
