The Boom Truck Driver position within the Rental and Leasing Services industry is a vital role responsible for the safe and precise operation of boom trucks used to transport, lift, and place rental equipment and materials. Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver’s license; Class B, CDL with appropriate endorsements as required by local regulations.
- Proven experience operating boom trucks or similar lifting and transport equipment in a commercial setting.
- Strong understanding of load calculations, rigging, and safe lifting practices.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Mechanical aptitude to perform pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the rental and leasing services industry and/or Knuckle Boom Truck experience.
- NCCCO or equivalent boom crane/operator certification, Class A, CDL.
- Familiarity with jobsite safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Experience using GPS and routing software to optimize delivery schedules.
- Strong customer service background with direct customer interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Operate boom trucks to safely transport, lift, and place rental equipment and materials.
- Inspect loads, rigging, and equipment before, during, and after operation.
- Coordinate with dispatch, customers, and onsite personnel to complete work efficiently.
- Maintain accurate delivery, lift, and mileage records.
