Scientist I, Reagents at Cytek Biosciences Inc – Fremont, California

We are currently seeking candidates for a Scientist I position in our Reagent Development Group. This individual will work with other scientists in the group to develop new reagents for multicolor flow cytometry by conjugating selected immunological markers to all types of fluorescent dyes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct conjugation with different antibodies, small molecule dyes, tandem dyes, and other fluorescent fluorophores following the procedures developed in R&D.
• Perform routine purification and analysis of reagents using spectrophotometer, HPLC, FPLC and flow cytometry techniques following established SOPs and WIs.
• Assist in general lab works including buffer preparation, reagent formulation, bottling and final reagent products assembling.
• Work independently as well as in a team and have enthusiasm to learn new skills.
• Maintain good and timely documentation of experiments and follow ISO13485.
• All other tasks and duties assigned as perceived and agreed upon by management.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS or MS degree in Chemistry or Life sciences.
• Experience working in a regulated environment such as GLP/GMP environment.
• Previous experience in antibody conjugation is a plus but not required.
• Willing to learn new techniques including flow cytometry.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in MS office.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Individuals will be required to lift 25lbs without harm, be able to work in a standing position for an hour at a time and be able to position their body without additional support to obtain access to the materials in the lab.
