About This Position
Marshall Investigative Group (MIG), a leader in investigative services, is seeking an experienced and organized HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of professional HR experience with a strong background in employee relations, investigations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now.
This position will play a critical role in maintaining a compliant, engaged, and well-supported workforce by managing day-to-day HR operations and assisting with ongoing HR initiatives and audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Strong background in employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated experience in coaching, training, and leading performance improvement conversations
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Working knowledge of Human Resources compliance, federal and state labor laws
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to inventory, catalog, normalize, standardize, and manage HR files with ongoing governance
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
General Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee escalations and workplace concerns, conducting timely and thorough investigations as needed
- Partner with Performance Team assisting with goal management, training, and employee communication
- Author employee monthly employee newsletters with the HR Team
- Maintain accurate and compliant HR records; create and oversee a structured file management system ensuring consistency and data governance
- Partner with managers on employee relations matters, providing guidance aligned with company policy and employment law
- Support employee engagement programs and initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now for reporting, employee record maintenance, and process optimization
- Support recruitment and onboarding efforts when needed, ensuring a seamless candidate and new-hire experience
- Participate in HR audits, policy updates, and process improvement initiatives
- Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned
At the Marshall Investigative Group (MIG), our hourly rates, flexible day scheduling benefits, and expense/mileage reimbursements exceed the industry. All expenses are covered, including training, licensing, and testing fees. Comprehensive benefits are available for Full-Time agents. This position may require travel within your investigative region to accommodate full-time hours and client needs.
