Medical Assistant at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to work in an Internal Medicine Clinical environment. We are looking for a medical assistant who demonstrates great work ethics, dependability, the ability to work with a team, proficiency in patient documentation, both electronic and written. The job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Triage patients, medication reconciliation, coordinating patient care with other departments, phoning in prescriptions, medication administration, scheduling procedures, documentation of patient care as well as communication of patient care and collaboration with all the members of the healthcare team. The MA will serve as a patient advocate. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. No weekends and holidays are required. An orientation will be provided based on your experience and level of competency. Excellent benefit package offered.
