Position Overview:

The Barista creates handcrafted beverages and provides exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment. This role includes preparing and serving coffee, and specialty drinks, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, specialty drinks to Wrights standards.
• Promptly greet and assist guests anywhere on-premises
• Describe and promote beverage offerings, seasonal specials, and services.
• Ensure all orders are accurate, timely, and meet quality standards.
• Maintain knowledge of all drink recipes, ingredients, and customization options.
• Coordinate with culinary and guest services teams to ensure smooth service flow.
• Follow safe food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming caf environment.
• Support other departments to ensure every guest receives the Wrights Experience.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other caf equipment.
• Experience in a caf, coffee shop, bakery, or similar food service operation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, managers, and team members.
• Calm, flexible demeanor under pressure, especially during peak hours.
• Solve problems with minimal disruption to guests; escalate when needed.
• SafeStaff certified a plus but will provide training and certification.
• Work productively with limited supervision.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy, especially in drink preparation and transactions.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and inventory.
• Can perform all duties of the Cashier and Dining Room Attendant.

Physical Requirements:

• High standards of personal hygiene and appearance.
• Standing for long periods; frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and walking.
• Lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, crowded environment.
• Tolerate exposure to heat, steam, noise, and strong aromas.

Other Requirements:
