Barista at BJE COLE STREET 2, LLC – BIRMINGHAM, Michigan

Reports To: General Manager

Job Summary: The Barista is responsible for making high quality food and beverages and providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall guest experience. They have a passion for helping people and making them feel welcomed and special and take pride in consistently delivering delicious food and drinks. Our team members are cross trained to excel in various positions in the front and back of house, offering variety and excitement, as well as incredible opportunities for advancement to management and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve food, smoothies and juice according to established recipes and standards.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, upselling additional items as appropriate.
• Operating blenders, juice machines, slicers, grill and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of working stations.
• Monitor product levels and replenish supplies as needed to ensure availability and freshness.
• Provide friendly and attentive customer service, engaging with guests to enhance their experience and address any concerns.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and hygienic workspace.
• Learn and stay informed about different Limited Time Menu items to educate customers and make recommendations.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately, following proper cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and be a good team player to ensure smooth operations and efficient service during peak hours.

Qualifications:

• Enjoys being the best part of someones day
• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced restaurant environment with frequent customer interaction and occasional lifting or carrying of up to 50 pounds.
• May require standing or walking for extended periods
