SHIPPING CLERK at Rely Innovations – Janesville, Wisconsin

POSITION SUMMARY: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate creation of shipping documentation, proper packaging methods, safe and secure loading of vehicles and interfacing with freight companies, to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers and suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create shipping documentation, including but not limited to;
2. AMTEC Internal Shipping Orders
3. Bills of Lading
4. Hazardous Materials documents
5. Government required forms
6. Customs documentation
7. Contacting freight companies to obtain quotes and schedule movement of material.
8. Prepare and Package material for shipment
9. Load trucks
10. Deliver packages to FedEx, USPS, etc.
11. Maintain AMTEC internal ship log
12. Complete Hazardous Materials shipment training and maintain certification in;
13. CFR 49
14. IATA
15. IMDG (Ocean shipments)
16. General Warehouse duties and other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

POSITION TYPE:

This is a Salary non-exempt full-time position.

TRAVEL:

Travel (less than 10% of work time).

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Five (5) years’ previous Shipping experience, including use of FedEx Ship Manager desired. Hazardous Materials certification a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required
• Previous Fork Lift experience required, certification a plus (Rider and Stand Up Lifts)
• Position requires attention to detail, good communication skills, good math skills, good computer experience (Microsoft office, Label making software, etc.), and ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
