Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN)- Oncology Associates

Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC) Bennington, located on the campus of Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) in Bennington, Vermont is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our highly specialized team of Oncology Infusion nurses and care providers.

Through our affiliation and partnership with DCC in Lebanon, NH, we are designated as a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Comprehensive Cancer Center. Our DCC Bennington Nurses are also part of SVMC’s nursing team, which has received six consecutive designations from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program for excellence in nursing practice, leadership and patient care.

In this role, the Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients receiving infusion therapy. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and support patients in their treatment journey. Under the direction of the physician or mid-level provider, this position is responsible for providing individualized nursing-process based care to DCC Bennington patients.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred, with the agreement to obtain a bachelor’s degree within two years of employment
  • Ability to obtain Vermont State Registered Nursing license required.
  • Experience in Oncology preferred, Nursing experience in hospital or practice setting required.
  • Successful completion of ONS Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy provider course required within one year of employment-Course reimbursement available once successfully completed.
  • Health Care Provider BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong critical thinking and triage skills to perform duties that are detail oriented and support highest level of care and customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills required
