Sewing Machine Operator at Digital Room LLC – Salt Lake City, Utah

We are actively hiring for the position of Sewing Machine Operator for our plant in Salt Lake City, UT.

Shift: 1st Shift Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Duties & Responsibilities

Produce finished graphicsActivate the sewing machine to join, gather, hem, reinforce, or finish materials/fabricated articlesExamine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to standardsCut materials, according to specifications, or cut excess material or thread from a finished product, using a blade, scissors, or electric knifeFold or fit together materials, such as fabric or vinyl, to prepare for machine sewingMount attachments, such as needles, cutting blades, or pattern plates, and adjust machine guides according to specificationsMonitor machine operation to detect problems, such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctionsTroubleshoot problems as they ariseOther fabrication duties as assignedMUST be able to operate a computer with basic computer skillsMUST be able to lift to 50lbs

Industrial sewing experienceMechanical and artistic aptitudeAttention to detailCutting skillsAbility to multitask

Physical Requirements

The Sewing Operator position will have the following physical requirements:

Standing/Walking (at least 25% of shift).Bending/Twisting/Squatting (at least 25% of shift).Lifting/Pushing/Pulling up to 75 lb. (consistently).
