Position Summary
ER Services is seeking a Service Business Development Manager to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for driving commercial and residential service growth through business development, relationship management, and strategic account expansion. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, results-driven professional with strong communication and networking skills who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
This position plays a critical role in expanding market presence, generating recurring revenue through service agreements, and building long-term partnerships with property managers, facility leaders, business owners, and other key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities for plumbing, HVAC, and related service offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, facilities managers, business owners, and key decision-makers.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, prospecting, referrals, and community engagement.
- Develop, present, and follow up on service agreements, maintenance programs, and customer proposals.
- Maintain a consistent sales pipeline and proactively manage opportunities from initial contact through contract execution.
- Conduct customer visits, site assessments, and relationship-building meetings to identify service needs.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery for new accounts.
- Represent ER Services professionally at industry events, trade associations, networking groups, and community functions.
- Track sales activities, customer interactions, opportunities, and performance metrics within CRM systems.
- Support revenue growth initiatives through strategic account management and recurring service agreement expansion.
Operational / Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records, sales reports, forecasts, and customer documentation.
- Provide regular updates regarding pipeline activity, sales performance, and business development initiatives.
- Ensure proposals, agreements, and customer communications are completed accurately and timely.
- Utilize CRM systems to document activities, opportunities, and customer engagement.
Customer / Team Support Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for prospective and existing customers.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through responsive communication and follow-through.
- Partner closely with field leadership and operations teams to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Foster positive working relationships across departments to support company growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of sales, business development, account management, or customer relationship experience.
- Proven ability to generate leads, develop customer relationships, and close business opportunities.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Preferred
- Experience within plumbing, HVAC, home services, construction, facility services, or related industries.
- Experience selling service agreements, maintenance programs, or recurring revenue solutions.
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar service-industry software platforms.
- Existing relationships within commercial property management, facilities management, or local business communities.
