Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field, preferred.
- Five years in a high-level hospitality organization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of marketing experience, preferred.
- Familiarization with posting and working with Instagram, Facebook, Canva, and Figma preferred.
- Three years’ supervisory leadership experience.
Job Summary: The Membership Director acts as The Summit’s Ambassador, greeting members, guests, and prospects to guarantee that everyone receives platinum-level service. In this ambassadorial capacity for the club, the role necessitates a comprehensive understanding and dedication to the Club’s culture, emphasizing member relations, recruitment, and retention. This position is tasked with facilitating the sale and transfer of memberships while also creating and nurturing outstanding member experiences for both prospective and current members. A self-motivated individual with strong marketing and communication skills is essential for this role, enabling effective interaction with members and committees to support the club's objectives. Additionally, this position will enhance and boost member participation through orientation, inclusion, and fostering connections with prospective members.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Provide exceptional service to Members of the club.
- Plan and implement strategies to meet Club membership goals.
- Develop and ensure that established procedures for processing prospective members’ applications are consistently followed, while maintaining the confidentiality of all member information.
- Process membership applications and needs from enrollments, transfers, resignations, and the wait list.
- Conducts and organizes tours for prospective members and follows up on leads from members' referrals, staff, catering contracts, etc.
- Conducts orientation program for new members and assists with using the Club App.
- Determines markets to be canvassed for qualified individuals and completes and maintains perpetual member invitee roster.
- Develop and implement targeted communications to keep members informed via email and social media in conjunction with our design team contractor. Coordinate with Management weekly to ensure appropriate and timely communications are sent.
- Researches the need for ongoing sales promotions regarding demographics, market segmentation data, etc.
- Tracks the success and overall performance of membership activities and provides key metrics to the Executive team and the Board of Governors.
- Work with vendors to create flyers, calendars, and print items for monthly events.
- Manage all print menus on the website, including all regular menus, limited menus, burger menus, special menus, and other table tents.
- Regularly review and update the website calendar and events.
- Maintain and update the Rockbot TV presentation weekly.
- Develops and adheres to a departmental budget and, after approval, monitors and takes corrective action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained.
- Maintain the cigar locker list and waitlist.
- Serve as a member of various committees.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the GM or the designee.
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Notary Public is a plus.
- Social Media Marketing Certification a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
- Stand or sit for extended periods, up to eight hours daily.
- Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
