Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for Community Medical Center.

Community Medical Center, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state’s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County’s largest and most active health care facility—caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current New Jersey RN License
  • At least 2 years acute care nursing experience or 2 years acute care nursing experience with previous management experience

Preferred:

  • Preferred Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BLS Health Care provider through American Heart Association
  • Additional certifications may be required as per the Administrative Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation “Certification” Policy

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Day Shift, 40 hours per week

Essential Functions:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services
  • Assists the staff with development and implementation of nursing process, admission assessment, discharge plans and patient teaching.
  • Delegates and prioritizes work assignments according to the individual associates competence and patient care needs.
  • Demonstrates a fiscal responsibility in managing resources, staff and supplies.
  • Follows established guidelines for staffing & scheduling policies, as related to daily staffing, OT, budgetary justification.
