Licensed Practical Nurse - Team Leader (LPN) at Lake Regional Health System – Osage Beach, Missouri

Lake Regional Health System is looking for an outgoing, professional Licensed Practical Nurse – Team lead in our Family Birth Center. Job Responsibilities:

• Provides safe and efficient patient care.
• Reassesses, implements and documents direct patient care for both adults and newborns. Provides appropriate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, social and rehabilitation needs of the patient, including discharge planning and follow-up.
• Collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team.
• Assists the RN with ongoing re-evaluation of the plan of care, toward positive patient outcomes.
• Accountable for administration, documentation and reporting the effects of drugs, IV procedures and other therapeutic and diagnostic measures in a safe and accurate manner as allowed by the LPN Practice Act.
• Performs necessary functions during a crisis/emergency situation in a calm, professional manner.
• Adheres to aseptic technique, sets up tables, instruments and supplies needed for vaginal deliveries and/or surgical procedures.
• Serves as scrub tech during surgical procedures.
• Participates in patient/family teaching.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Certification/Licensure Required for Job: License Practical Nurse in the State of Missouri
• An annual influenza vaccine required.
