About this role
This hybrid role is based in Minnesota.
The Senior Business Analyst (Senior BA) plays a critical role in bridging business needs with technology solutions. This role is responsible for evaluating business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, leading requirements gathering efforts, and ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
This role delivers the technical expertise required to support enterprise applications and maintain reliable day-to-day operations. It involves sustaining strong knowledge of system integrations, reporting, application analysis, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
The Senior BA acts as collaborative link between Homesura business teams and enterprise systems, drives data-informed decision-making, strong problem solving, and ensuring solutions are well-implemented, sustainable, and supports organizational objectives.
Hours: Full-time 40+ hours/week, Monday – Friday (Exempt)
Location: Homesura -Minnetonka/Hybrid
Compensation: $80,000 -$94,000
How you will spend your time:
- Driving effective collaboration and problem solving between Homesura business teams and enterprise systems, ensuring solutions are well-implemented, sustainable, and support organizational objectives.
- Analyzing current workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and identify opportunities for automation or optimization to reduce cost and enhance efficient service delivery.
- Leading end-to-end requirements lifecycle, including requirements, documentation, validation, quality testing, and change management.
- Proactively coordinating with all parties to ensure their needs are addressed and that all changes are aligned and mutually beneficial.
- Facilitating workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with business partners and user SME’s to result in clearly understood functional/technical specifications.
- Creating clear and detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Leading all external partner relationships ensuring timely and effective communication and vendor support.
- Ensuring all required enterprise software runs effectively to meet the needs of the organization and be the Subject Matter Expert in software applications.
- Conducting feasibility studies of proposed solutions and cost–benefit analyses to guide decision-making.
- Creating and providing custom training and support to business teams on applications used to ensure end-users have required skills to effectively use technology.
- Creating comprehensive user guides and process documentation to support system understanding and adoption.
- Leveraging project management tools to monitor tasks, milestones, and overall progress, reporting updates on schedule and budget to senior management.
- 4-year bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of work experience in business operations coupled with experience in maintaining, supporting, and improving IT platforms and enterprise applications.
- Experience in home care or social services industry preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, solve problems and navigate complex organizations.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with exceptional organizational, critical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and communication capabilities
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and offer actionable insights.
- Experience with data modeling, data analysis, and creating presentations and data representation using tools such as Power BI
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skilled in advanced project management and workflow analysis.
- Knowledge and proficiency in applying process improvement methodologies.
- Organize, prioritize and maintain a high standard of professional courtesy, flexibility, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Must pass a background study with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must have excellent professional, ethical and confidential behavior and skills at all times.
