Part-time Production Team Member at Kalona Creamery – Kalona, Iowa

Summary

The Kalona Creamery Production Team Member is responsible for the manufacturing of high-quality, consistent food products while meeting safety, quality, and production standards. This position oversees the setup, operation, packaging, and cleaning of production equipment related to cheese and hummus manufacturing.

This is a part-time position. Typical shift hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 6am-2pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality, consistent food products in accordance with GMP standards.
• Operate, package, and clean production equipment.
• Meet established processing rates.
• Support the Kalona Creamery production team members in various production-related tasks.
• Maintain quality standards per specifications defined by State and/or Federal regulatory agencies
• Stay current with required production technology.
• Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties necessary to make the business successful.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Food-related production experience preferred; food manufacturing experience is helpful.
• Ability to read recipes and follow instructions.
• Ability to read and record instrument data in English with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically legible handwriting.
• Willingness and ability to lift to 50lbs and stand for the full shift.
• Good attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to learn and grow in the role.
