CT Technologist Extern at Lompoc Valley Medical Center – Lompoc, California

Salary Range: $35.70 - $49.21

Pay rates are determined based on experience and internal equity.

Position Summary:

• Completed a Radiologic Technology program within the last 6 months.
• Assists with radiographic and CT procedures and may shadow fluoroscopic exams on inpatients, outpatients, and surgical patients.
• Must work under the supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Director and other Radiologic Technologists.
• Performs duties that assist the Radiologic Technologist or CT Technologist.
• May start IV’s for CT (IV Certificate required), but only shadow during exposure and IV Contrast injection.
• Transports patients as needed.
• Assists the Radiologic technologist with patient set up and recording histories in hospital patient records.
• Scanning documents related to the exam into the exam order.
• Must work well under stress or tight deadlines.
• Must work well with supervisors, co-workers, patients/residents, family members and visitors.

Position Qualifications:

• Education: Graduation from a state certified radiographic technology program and pass Radiologic Technologists Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: New graduates considered
• Certifications: CRT, Red Cross BLS, Fluoro license and IV therapy certificate within 6 months of hire.
• Skills/Ability: Ability to perform or be trained in the full range of exams performed in department.
