Job Description

Seeking a dynamic engineer motivated by direct customer and application experiences. The product engineer will provide product and applications support to the worlds leading advanced manufacturers in semiconductor, display, vacuum coating, precision optics, pharma, and automotive markets. Collaborates with research teams to test new idea/concept feasibility. Works closely with product managers to identify, prioritize, and communicate customer needs. Supports new product development in the role of team member, product owner, or scrum master. Creates marketing collateral and provides technical support to sales, field application engineers, and end users. Tests new products and software, manages lab space, and travels to perform sensor and software installations or customer training.



Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Engineering or Sciences)
  • 1-3+ years experience in product technical support, troubleshooting, and product testing efforts (Required)
  • Experienced in new product development efforts as a product owner that understands and communicates customer needs to development teams - Motivated by cross team collaborations, customer interaction and collaboration
  • Energized by technology and looking to drive significant improvements in manufacturing of the worlds critical semiconductors, displays, medical devices, environmental systems and beyond.
  • Looking for direct customer interaction that requires global travel (up to 15%).


Additional Information

For New York, the expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $95,000 per year. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit sharing bonus with a target of 10%. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law
