Job Summary: The Custodial Technician is responsible for cleaning, small building repairs, custodial duties, maintaining outside grounds, and preventive maintenance. This role will assist with the daily maintenance of various areas within the building. This role will need to be able to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and champion and adhere to safe work practices. Essential Job Duties: Gathers and empties all trash receptacles. Dusts furniture, walls and equipment. Performs heavy cleaning duties. Scrubs, sanitizes and supplies restroom facilities. Cleans mirrors, windows, and partitions. Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture. Manages inventory of cleaning supplies. Responsible for managing shop recycling. Perform basic tasks including painting, patching drywall, plumbing, and electrical repairs. Performs routine maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks Regularly check the building to identify issues with cleanliness and identify any maintenance issues that arise. Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots, picnic tables, and sidewalks. Drives vehicles requires to perform cleaning work, industrial trucks, vans, cleaners Follows standard operating procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power tools and machinery. Works safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines by the organization. Responsible for adhering to and championing OSHA guidelines. Responsible for adhering to and championing Safety guidelines. Maintains a professional relationship with peers and outside vendors. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Miscellaneous duties as assigned. Experience & Skills: Highschool diploma or equivalent qualification required. Minimum of 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment highly preferred. 1-2 years of custodial cleaning experience highly preferred. The ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment is required. Operation of forklift/scissor lift. (training and certification are done on site) Basic computer skills, detail oriented, and technical skills are required. Physical Demands: Legend N (Not applicable) Activity is not applicable to this position O (Occasionally) Position requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0-2.5 hours/day) F (Frequently) Position requires this activity up to 66% of the time (2.5-5.5 hours/day) C (Constantly) Position requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hours/day) Lift/Carry 10-75lbs F Stand C Walk C Manually manipulate F Squat or kneel C Bend C Reach above shoulder C Equal Employment Opportunity/M/F/disability/protected veteran status
