About This Position

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Data Analyst provides a strong analytical understanding to capture reports and aggregate data for Primary Care at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. The Data Analyst provides high level understanding of relational and flat reporting databases, maintaining data integrity and security to keep data management system current. Reports to Manager, Performance Improvement for Physician Practice Management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support value-based contracts through data acquisition and analytics.
  • Organize complex datasets, develops algorithms and supplemental logic to bring together multiple data sets.
  • Develop and maintains data base to track payments associated with value-based contracts and incentives, custom reports, and backup/recovery functions.
  • Function as the subject matter expert for the electronic medical records system (EMR) for registration, billing and medical record processes.
  • Maintain a master roster with the most up-to-date metrics for all value-based contract. Track, measure and report the progress/status of each outpatient clinic/practice compared to established benchmarks.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • None required.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Required Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Management or Business-related discipline required.
    • 2-4 years of experience in Data Analysis preferably in Healthcare, Finance, Operations or Process Management required.
  • Preferred Education and Experience
    • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data mining and data mapping to be able to communicate business needs/requirements.
    • Strong proficiency and technical aptitude with relational databases including Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel at the intermediate to advanced level.
    • Ability to translate detailed and complex data into understandable conclusions and offer valued solutions.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to manage a large volume of work, tight deadlines, and frequently shifting priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
