CAH-Registration – Central Scheduler-Full Time- Day shift- 8a – 4p- Req 7839

Pay Range $16.47-$19.72*+

The Central Scheduler will be responsible for the coordination of all activities related to the scheduling and pre-registration of all radiology procedures. The Central Scheduler is responsible for scheduling the procedure/service as well as gathering all correct demographic/insurance information at the time of patient contact and verifying its accuracy prior to the patient having the procedure scheduled. All insurances must be verified using the facilities' eligibility verification tool prior to each procedure. The Central Scheduler is required to obtain authorization from the physician office or from the insurance company and record the proper number within the medical chart for billing purposes. Must work closely with several departments to ensure schedules are accurate and assist resolving issues in regard to schedules when needed. The Central Scheduler will work cooperatively with department staff, physicians, assistants and vendors. They will complete the pre-registration process, as well as POS collections and is expected to work anywhere within the central scheduling functions. Must be comfortable addressing conflict, dealing with strong personalities and working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of scheduling experience in a healthcare setting

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Experience with CPSI and/or Medent

• Type 40 words per minute
