Respiratory Therapist PRN at University Health System- San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Therapist level I provides full range of respiratory care to Adult patient populations as evidenced by the skill/competency assessment. Ensures the prompt and proficient provisions of respiratory related duties in accordance with physician directives. Complies with departmental and University Health System's policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree with a current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or a Certified Respiratory Therapist credential from National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) with the commitment to obtain RRT within one year for the start of employment and an active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license with the Texas Medical Board required. Must be BLS certified. ACLS Preferred. Instructor certifications for BLS is acceptable in lieu of BLS
