REGISTERED NURSE at Davis Health System – Elkins, West Virginia

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit/nursery for assigned patients/infants; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree

Minimum Experience: Sufficient previous clinical experience in OB/GYN, Nursery

Required Certification/

Registration: Registration and current WV RN license

BLS certification within 90 days of employment

Neonatal resuscitation required within 1 year of

Employment

Completion of a fetal monitoring class

Preferred Certification: ACLS

C-EFM certification

Physical Demands: Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients

Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking

Lifts supplies/equipment

Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and

crouching

Working Conditions: Subject to varying and unpredictable situations

Regularly exposed to the risk of Bloodborne diseases

Contact with patients under a wide variety of

circumstances

Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and

illness)

Handles emergency or crisis situations

May perform emergency care

Subjected to irregular hours

Pressure due to multiple calls and inquires
