Junior Accountant at Xona Space Systems Inc – Burlingame, California

As we scale, we're looking to add a detail-oriented and driven Junior Accountant to support our finance team and help build a world-class accounting function from the ground up.

What You'll Do

• Assist with daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Support month-end and year-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Process invoices, vendor payments, employee expense reports, and credit card reconciliations
• Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting
• Work closely with the finance lead on budget tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and engineering to support purchasing and expense processes
• Participate in the continuous improvement of accounting procedures and internal controls

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships welcome)
• Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices (GAAP)
• Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel); familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP software a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-growth startup environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in aerospace, satellite systems, or technology-driven industries is highly desirable
