Position SummaryUniversity Christian School is seeking a caring and dedicated Extended Care Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students beyond the regular school day. This part-time role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, supporting their academic and social growth, and fostering a Christ-centered atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage students in a structured extended care program.
  
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment that reflects Christian values.
  
• Assist with homework, enrichment activities, and playtime.
  
• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities.
  
• Ensure proper check-in and check-out procedures for students.
  
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  
• Uphold the mission and values of University Christian School in all interactions.
  

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or child development preferred.
  
• Prior experience working with children in a school, childcare, or ministry setting.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Ability to maintain patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  
• Commitment to Christian values and the mission of University Christian School.
  
• Must pass background screening requirements.
  

• Afternoon and early evening hours on school days (schedule may vary).
  
• Up to 15 hours per week.
