About This Position
Job description
American Power Innovations electrical manufacturer of E-Houses and skid mounted equipment is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Warehouse Associate.
To the successful candidate we offer a competitive compensation package that includes company paid health insurance, 11 paid holidays, PTO, and a 401K plan.
Overview
The warehouse associate receives, stores, and distributes all production and service parts materials in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive and Inspect Incoming Shipments
- Unload deliveries, verify item counts and condition against purchase orders or delivery slips.
- Pick, Pack, and Prepare Orders for Shipment
- Accurately select items from inventory for kitting
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in full physical inventories to ensure correct stock levels.
- Operate Warehouse Equipment Safely
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools while adhering to all safety protocols and certifications.
- Organize and Maintain Storage Areas
- Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and that aisles and shelves are clean and organized.
- Follow Safety and Compliance Procedures
- Adhere to OSHA standards and internal safety protocols to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Assist with Loading and Unloading Trucks
- Work to ensure timely and accurate loading/unloading of good.
- Process Returns and Damaged Goods
- Handle returned merchandise and damaged items according to company policy
- Enter data accurately into digital inventory systems
- Communicate Effectively with Team Members and Supervisors
- Relay issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Proficient with inventory control systems.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedure
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
- Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.
