Position Description:

Forefront Living is looking for a Human Resources Director at a community located in Copell, TX. Our mission is to come together and make each moment matter for those we serve.

As Human Resources Director you will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring compliance with all training, interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, compensation, and organizational policies. Establishing an internal customer service environment as it relates to the support of managers and teammates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
  • Administer Human Resources policies and programs, provide employee relations support, and assist all employees with personnel issues and policy interpretations
  • Responsible for initial screening of qualified candidates for assigned open positions
  • Ensure compliance of all OpenHire processes and procedures
  • Conduct investigations as needed, keeping site and Home Office management apprised of any pressing issues or concerns
  • Responsible for processing and assisting with site On the Job Injury Program
  • Audit Bi-weekly payroll reports to ensure compliance with compensation and benefit policies
  • Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Review all corrective action notices and documentation, to ensure compliance with established Corrective Action policy
  • Compile all termination documentation and submit documentation as necessary in response to unemployment claims
  • Maintain and report all FMLA files and paperwork in accordance with Federal and State laws and Community procedures
  • Maintain direct oversight of New Teammate Orientation, to foster positive attitude toward organizational goals, and to ensure all new teammates are trained sufficiently on the organizations policies/procedures, mission, vision and values, and are offered participation in the teammate health and welfare, and 401k benefit programs
  • Provide HR Metrics information to the Executive Director and/or Corporate Director People and Culture monthly, to include turnover, training, investigations, FMLA tracking, budgetary buy-down logs, Action Item spreadsheets, etc.
  • Manage site HR budget.
  • Create and maintain personnel and medical files in accordance with state and federal laws record keeping requirements.
  • Participate in Site Leadership and HR monthly meetings Manage HR Support staff at the site Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Perform other similar duties as assigned or required by the Executive Director or the Corporate Director of People and Culture
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred
Minimum 5 years Human Resource experience; Supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources, including employment and labor laws and Human Resources techniques
Knowledge of HRIS database

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate with all levels of employees and provide exceptional customer service
Ability to work with general direction on problems of unusual complexity
Ability to manage many functions and projects concurrently
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Excellent oral and written communication skills (English, Spanish a plus), interpersonal skills and computer literacy
Demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft family programs
Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below
Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, handicapped people and hospice Patients
Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements as outlined below
Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures

WORK CLIMATE:
Position will work at the assigned community, primarily inside climate-controlled building

WORK PACE:
Self-paced, requiring the ability to work quickly and accurately in an often-times demanding work environment
