CIE - Student Developer MacroPivot AI at Harrisburg University – Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Student Developer (MacroPivot AI):

Student developers will be responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software projects involving Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning for startup companies incubating at the CIE. Developers will produce software design documentation and source code for proof-of-concept applications over the course of 10-15 weeks, using agile tools and methodology. Students will assist in gathering and documenting user requirements for the project.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in software programming languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with software source code control systems such as GitHub
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as wiki systems, issue tracking systems, and team communication software.
• Experience in using Large Language Model (LLM) software such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and CoPilot, as well as supporting technologies such as Ollama and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience with Natural Language Processing technologies such as speech-to-text, entity/relationship extraction, and model building.
• Experience with graph databases such as Neo4J.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Big Data architectures, including Apache Hadoop, Accumulo, and Spark.
• Proficiency in REST interface development
• Familiarity with database system interfaces
• Familiarity with industry standard software documentation processes
