Career Services Representative at Lotus Professional College – Richmond, Virginia

Lotus Professional College is looking for a professional and caring individual to support our students in acheiving their educational and career goals.

This postion is full-time 8am to 5pm, 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, on-site only, with benefits, and a competitive pay.

Career Services Job Description

Career Services should be available to support students throughout their time as a student and then as alumni. Career services are designed to assist the students with all aspects of achieving their goals including, but not limited to, educational, financial, personal, licensure, and career goals during and after graduation.

• Work with program directors to identify student educational and career needs
  1. Report graduation, employment, licensure pass rates regularly to program directors
• Work with employers to advertise and fill open positions
  1. Reach out to potential employers to maintain contact list
  2. Continually reach out to Alumni
  3. Share information with program directors obtained from employers on how well our graduates are performing in positions
• Conduct student exit interview two weeks before graduation
• Meet with students on a regular basis during the course of their program
  1. Get insight on what type of career or job they are seeking
  2. Start researching employers that might be interested, and qualifications the student might need
  3. Share resources with students based on needs
• If requested, assist students with preparing resumes (instructors should go over resume building in class)
• Coordinate career days with program directors per dates on the outline

• Create events for current, past, and prospective students
• Employment Verification
  1. Continually gather employment verifications
  2. Create job fairs for students/graduates needing employment
  3. Assist students in licensing process
  4. Once form is received scan documents and save to main server
  5. Submit to third party for verification regularly
