Maintenance Technician in Minocqua, Wisconsin at The Waters of Minocqua

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a variety of general maintenance tasks of guest rooms, property facilities and grounds, as directed by the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Technician will support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the property, and its amenities, are functioning in such a way that promotes guest satisfaction.

*Summer Incentive Program: You will have the opportunity to earn an additional $1.50/hour, on top of your base pay, for every worked during the period of Memorial Day-Labor Day by performing at a high level! Bonus will be paid out at the end of summer based on punctuality/availability, job performance, and active employment through Labor Day!*

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Respond to various maintenance requests in a timely matter.
• Communicate closely with various departments regarding status of maintenance requests.
• Assist with property ground maintenance (snow removal, basic landscaping, etc.)
• Inspect, repair and replace damaged or warn out items such as heating/cooling units, dry wall, light fixtures or plumbing.
• Operate all maintenance and power tool equipment in a safe manner.
• Maintain an organized maintenance workshop and storeroom.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with little oversight.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.

Education and Experience:

• One year of property maintenance or similar experience, preferred.
• Working knowledge of heating/cooling and plumbing experience, preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License to operate company vehicles.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time and perform repetitive motions.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 20 lbs and occasionally push/pull/life up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb stairs occasionally.
• While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
