Service Worker in Perth Amboy, New Jersey at UBE Corporation America Inc.

Job Summary:

The purpose of the position is to help achieve maximum productivity, meeting customer needs, in compliance with safety, environmental and other regulatory requirements. Promotes a spirit of cooperation between all departments and demonstrates a commitment to achieve the goals and objectives of the team, department and plant. Must follow all regulatory requirements including: OSHA, NJDEPE, DOT, etc. related to the position.

Main Responsibilities:

· Support the operations of the Perth Amboy Site by performing tasks requiring unskilled or semi-skilled labor in all areas of the plant as assigned.

· Shows initiative to ensure work is done in a timely manner.

· Troubleshoots issues to keep work on track and communicates all issues.

· Provides coverage for: Forklift Driver, Watchperson, Warehousemen, Janitor, Waste Water, Sample Process and general duties.

· Processes documents, conducts inspections and maintains records. Utilizes SAP to complete transactions.

· Implements safe work practices including permit procedures, use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), pre-task hazard assessments, housekeeping, etc. Mitigates or reports unsafe acts or conditions promptly.

· Demonstrates initiative.

· Participates in implementing team decisions, continuous improvement projects, safety teams, etc.

· Attends plant and departmental training and meetings as required.

· Familiar with, and able to implement, incident response procedures.

· Assists and Trains others in the department as necessary.

· Works with minimal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 3-5 years of experience
