This role offers the opportunity to support and modernize a large-scale enterprise platform operating in highly secure, mission-critical environments. You will work on the operation, deployment, and evolution of containerized infrastructure supporting complex government systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance across cloud and on-premise environments. The position involves hands-on engineering across Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes ecosystems, with strong exposure to CI/CD, automation, and DevSecOps practices. You will collaborate with security, development, and infrastructure teams to deliver resilient and high-performing platform services. This is a highly technical role suited for engineers who enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges in regulated environments. The position also offers remote flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Operate, maintain, and support Red Hat OpenShift environments across multiple security domains in cloud and on-premise (vSphere) infrastructures.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, including application deployments, project creation, routing, logging, debugging, and RBAC administration using CLI tools.
- Support platform modernization by deploying OpenShift to new sites and ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance, implement secure configurations, and support vulnerability mitigation across platforms.
- Manage and support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elastic Stack within containerized environments.
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to scale platforms and integrate CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
- Automate operational tasks and build scripts using Python, Shell, Java, or JavaScript to improve efficiency and platform reliability.
- Support DevOps practices including continuous delivery, infrastructure automation, and configuration management across hybrid environments.
- Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident resolution for enterprise-grade systems.
- Contribute to platform evolution by implementing best practices in container orchestration, DevSecOps, and cloud-native architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or software development roles focused on infrastructure or platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes in enterprise or production environments.
- Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker and cloud-native orchestration platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, or Bitbucket.
- Strong scripting and development skills in Python, Shell, Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud and hybrid environments, including AWS and on-premise virtualization platforms like vSphere.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is highly desirable.
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices, including security scanning and software supply chain protection.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and work across multi-domain environments.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in cross-functional technical teams.
- U.S. citizenship required due to project requirements.
- Competitive salary ranging from $97,750 to $132,250 based on experience and location.

- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions.
- Generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, personal days, and holidays.
