Senior/ Lead Speech Pathologist

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior/Lead Speech Pathologist in Australia.

This is a dynamic clinical leadership opportunity within a growing allied health environment focused on delivering high-quality, client-centered care across diverse communities. You will work with both children and adults with varying disabilities, supporting their communication, swallowing, and functional development goals through evidence-based intervention. You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of experienced allied health professionals, contributing to holistic, integrated care plans. Accountabilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based speech pathology interventions for children and adults with diverse disabilities.
  • Support clients under the NDIS framework to improve communication, functional capacity, and social participation.
  • Provide assessment and recommendations for assistive communication technologies where required.
  • Manage a varied caseload across telehealth, community-based, and clinic-based service delivery models.
  • Deliver timely clinical documentation, progress notes, and formal report writing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, referrers, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Work collaboratively across digital platforms and clinical systems to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Contribute to achieving service expectations, including clinical quality standards and workload targets.
  • Support knowledge sharing and mentoring within a growing multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology or a related field.
  • Current professional registration (e.g., Speech Pathology Australia membership or equivalent).
  • Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC/Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Police clearance (including international police check if applicable).
  • Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.
  • Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment and intervention across paediatric and/or adult populations.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload and competing priorities.
  • Passion for evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
