Merchant Success Specialist

About the role

At ViaBill, we are on a mission to redefine the way people shop online and in-store by providing simple and transparent payment and financing solutions. We are now looking for a Merchant Success Specialist to join our Commercial team in Copenhagen.

You will play a key role in building and scaling strong relationships with thousands of merchants across Denmark. Your work will directly support merchant onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, and growth through merchant programs, co-marketing initiatives, lifecycle communication, reporting, and product adoption.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced fintech scale-up in a highly cross-functional role where you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Onboarding, and Product teams to create an exceptional merchant experience while contributing directly to ViaBill’s commercial growth.

About you
  • 2-4 years of experience in merchant success, customer success, or account, ideally within fintech, payments, SaaS, e-commerce, or retail-tech
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with a natural ability to create trust and long-term partnerships
  • Highly commercial mindset with the ability to identify upsell, retention, and growth opportunities
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple merchant initiatives simultaneously
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams
  • Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment
  • Fluency in Danish (native) and English
What you will do
  • Manage and grow relationships with ViaBill merchants across different segments and industries
  • Support merchant onboarding, activation, and adoption of ViaBill products and services
  • Coordinate merchant lifecycle communication, feature updates, and onboarding flows
  • Help migrate merchants from existing systems and portals into newer merchant experiences and tools
  • Work closely with the Marketing team on co-marketing campaigns, merchant activations, events, and other growth initiatives
  • Create merchant reporting, visibility dashboards, and performance insights to support merchant success and engagement
  • Identify upsell, retention, and renewal opportunities while helping reduce churn
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Onboarding teams to ensure a best quality merchant experience from acquisition to long-term growth
  • Gather merchant feedback and market insights to help improve ViaBill’s products, services, and commercial strategy
