JOB TITLE: Outpatient Therapist

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Chief Executive Officer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • This is a hybrid position, individuals must be able to work in the office two days per week.
  • Must be familiar and experienced with multiple mental health diagnoses (Adults and/or children)
  • Provide initial intake screening and mental health assessments that identify service needs and recommend options for care
  • Share assessment findings with clients
  • Involve client(s) in the development of treatment goals, objectives and interventions that address their assessed behavioral health needs
  • Provide individual, group, or family therapy
  • Provide coordinated care by initiating or participating in client-centered consultation with internal and external provider involved in care or services
  • Reassess and review treatment progress with clients at prescribed intervals
  • Assist in establishing effective communication between BFS, other social agencies serving clients, and the Community
  • Attend monthly company meetings

General Competencies:

  • Contribute to development of a culture of care
  • Complete comprehensive behavioral health evaluations and assessments
  • Provide treatment/care services
  • Provide referral and transition services including linkage and discharge planning.
  • Demonstrate and comply with knowledge of ethical standards
  • Provide differential treatment approaches and interventions to address phase of life and relationship issues, including individual, couples, and group therapy
  • Demonstrate knowledge of documentation standards and capacity to meet documentation expectations

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or University in a mental health field
  • Have an active license as an LPC, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia
  • Should be actively credentialed with various insurance panels
  • Must have experience in providing counseling and/or psychotherapy services
  • Must have basic computer and keyboarding skills
  • The therapist must be prepared to work a flexible schedule in response to the needs of the target population served. Weekend and evening hours are available
  • Those interested in group work preferred
  • Job Types: Full-Time, Part-time, or contract available
