This role sits at the intersection of engineering and quality, focusing on building robust automation frameworks that ensure product reliability at scale. You will be deeply involved in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation systems that support both frontend and backend applications. Working in a distributed global setup, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams across multiple geographies. The role demands strong technical depth, hands-on coding ability, and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement. You will play a key part in strengthening automation practices and driving quality engineering maturity across teams. This is a high-impact position where your work directly contributes to faster, safer, and more reliable product delivery.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and evolving automation systems that ensure product quality across releases. You will design scalable test frameworks, implement automated test scripts, and drive improvements in testing coverage and efficiency across teams. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to identify testable requirements, improve application testability, and ensure defects are detected early in the development cycle. You will also contribute to regression testing, issue tracking, and continuous enhancement of QA processes to support fast-paced delivery environments.
- Design and develop scalable automation frameworks and reusable test components
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using modern tools and scripting languages
- Execute automated and regression testing and analyze test results to identify defects
- Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and improve software quality from design stage
- Document test strategies, plans, and detailed automation procedures
- Track, report, and help resolve defects in coordination with engineering teams
- Improve automation practices, frameworks, and QA processes across teams
You should have strong experience in automation testing with a solid engineering mindset and the ability to write clean, maintainable code. A strong understanding of software development principles, testing methodologies, and debugging across full-stack systems is essential. You should be comfortable working in fast-paced, distributed environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and a problem-solving attitude are key to succeeding in this role.
- 6+ years of experience in automated testing and QA engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar tools
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Solid understanding of unit, integration, regression, and system testing approaches
- Experience debugging frontend and backend systems and analyzing API payloads
- Strong knowledge of software development principles and coding practices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience working in Agile, fast-paced, and distributed teams
