Join Our Team as a Full-Time Senior Maintenance Technician supporting our multi-family portfolio in Austin, TX!

Are you community-inspired, passion-driven, and ready to make a real impact? Richman Property Services, Inc. (RPS) is seeking a full-time Senior Maintenance Tech to join our growing team in Austin, TX

The Senior Maintenance Technician is eligible for our "Texas Stay Program", which is designed to financially reward commitment, celebrate milestones, and support RPS new hires during their first year with RPS. You will receive the following bonuses during your first year: $500 after 90 days, $1,000 after 6 months of service, and $1,500 on your first year. All bonuses are paid in conjunction with our regularly scheduled payroll timeframes and dates and are taxable. Employees must be active at the time of the scheduled payout dates.

Position & Location

  • Position: Senior Maintenance Technician (Floater)
  • Location: Sr. Maintenance Tech will support all RPS properties in Austin, TX
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours/week), with a weekend on-call rotation
  • Travel: Reimbursed at the federal mileage rate; overnight costs fully covered by RPS is applicable

What we are looking for:

  • 2 or more years experience with Maintenance Operations in similar environments. Experience handling maintenance at multiple properties or prior "Floating" experience
  • EPA I & 2, or EPA Universal is required for this position. Candidates with existing EPA I & II are preferred
  • Applicant's with excellent resident relations skills, an eye for curb appeal, works well with teams, and driven to learn and grow with RPS are preferred

What You'll Do

  • Perform daily repairs and upkeep across multiple properties or portfolio's
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy quickly and to a high standard
  • Manage and resolve service requests with speed and professionalism
  • Maintain OSHA and Clean Air Act compliance at all times
  • Assist with preventative maintenance planning and execution
  • Keep buildings, grounds, and common areas clean and welcoming
  • Manage tools, equipment, and inventory with care
  • Complete required logs, reports, and training in a timely manner
  • Participate in the on-call weekend rotation

📋 What You Bring

🎓 Education

  • High school diploma or GED

💼 Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance and general repair experience
  • Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repair
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and federal/state regulations
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Must own basic tools as permitted by state law

🛠️ Skills & Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License required (verified during background check)
  • EPA Section 608 Type I and II, or Universal Technician Certification, strongly preferred. Don't have it yet? No problem. If you posses all the right skills, experience, and drive that we are looking for on our RPS Maintenance team, we may pay and sponsor your EPA I & II within your initial 75-days of hire!
