Plant Administrator

Job Summary

The Plant Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting the daily administrative operations of the facility. This role oversees a variety of office functions including data entry, document management, inventory tracking, shipping coordination, and vendor communication. It ensures accuracy in record keeping and purchasing while maintaining smooth day-to-day operations. The position also plays a key role in supporting plant leadership by managing schedules, coordinating shipments, and facilitating internal communication across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerLink) and daily data entry into corporate system.
  • Schedule LTL shipments and paperwork for shipments
  • Manage inventory of assets and supplies
  • Manage all documents and files including employee records
  • Sourcing suppliers/vendors
  • Maintain accounts payable and create purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Resolve day-to-day administrative and operational problems
  • Send and receive mail, packages and faxes and answer multi line phones.
  • Operate a range of office machines (copier, computer, adding machine)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum of two years office administration experience. (Preferred)
  • Education: High School diploma or GED (required)

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Travel

The percentage of travel is <5%. It will require the use of a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
