Job Description

Position Title: Clinical Coordinator PNS

Position Summary: The Clinical Coordinator (CC) provides operational leadership to the day-to-day patient care services of the Conway Medical Center (CMC) Provider Network Services (PNS) at assigned location(s). The CC oversees and coordinates with full accountability for the clinical services for assigned locations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) required or may substitute 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Master’s in Nursing preferred (MSN).

Experience

  • A minimum three (3) years nursing experience required. (Five preferred)
  • Previous medical practice leadership experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required.
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Valid US Driver’s License required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Communicates and collaborates with other departments such Pharmacy, Patient Access, Provider Network Services Administration and more for problem identification and resolution.
  • Clinical activities are coordinated with other departments and the CC will maintain, review, and revise clinical policies and procedures for the department and communicate with staff to facilitate compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a positive rapport with physicians and administrative staff and generally seek to guide services to promote four organizational pillars of patient satisfaction, staff satisfaction, quality, and financial sustainability utilizing CMC’s core values.
  • Review and monitor staffing levels, productivity, ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, evaluate the educational and competency needs of staff, and assist with performance evaluations and corrective action management for team members.
  • Evaluate the clinical practice of specified disciplines and review clinical records to ensure standards of care and quality of services are provided.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement activities and manage/resolve concerns of personnel, develop objectives and goals, assist with annual budgets, equipment, and supply needs.
  • Provide exemplary core customer service.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, and department heads.
  • Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.
  • Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.
  • Regularly exercise independent judgment.
  • Performs functions as noted above and is fully ready and willing to assist the team in direct nursing services, and other duties as assigned which will cross over into the practice, the infusion center or any needed area of the operation.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by department leadership.
