About the role

As a Part-Time Locum Tenens Recruiter (Placement Coordinator), you'll play an important role in connecting physicians with meaningful locum tenens opportunities. Success in this position comes from building strong physician relationships, understanding their career goals and availability, and guiding them through the recruiting and placement process with exceptional communication and follow-through.

We are specifically looking for someone with previous locum tenens or physician staffing experience who understands physician recruiting and can contribute quickly in a part-time environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who enjoys connecting with physicians, is self-motivated, and can independently manage multiple physician relationships while working in a flexible, remote environment.

Candidates may choose between guaranteed monthly compensation ranging from $1,500 to $2,000, based on an agreed-upon weekly commitment of approximately 15–20 hours, or a 100% commission-based compensation model for those seeking greater flexibility.

What you'll do

• Recruit and build relationships with physicians interested in locum tenens opportunities.
• Conduct outbound physician outreach and develop new physician relationships.
• Learn each physician's goals, preferences, experience, and availability to identify appropriate opportunities.
• Present and discuss locum tenens opportunities with physicians based on their interests and qualifications.
• Coordinate interviews and guide physicians through the recruiting and placement process.
• Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with physicians throughout the placement lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Credentialing, Scheduling, Account Management, and Business Development to support a seamless physician experience.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruiting activity and physician information in Salesforce.
• Contribute to recruiting and placement goals while delivering an outstanding physician experience.

Qualifications

• Previous locum tenens recruiting or physician staffing experience required.
• Experience recruiting and building relationships directly with physicians or advanced practice providers.
• Understanding of the locum tenens placement lifecycle and the ability to effectively match providers with opportunities.
• Comfortable with outbound physician recruiting, relationship development, and ongoing follow-up.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated and able to independently manage multiple physician relationships in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
• Experience using Salesforce or another recruiting CRM/ATS is a plus.
