Travel RN- Pediatric Nights *RATE INCREASED* in Peoria, Illinois at Fidelity On Call, LTD

The Pediatric Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. The RN is responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing age-appropriate plans of care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring changes in condition, and collaborating with families and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities
Assess pediatric patients and monitor changes in condition.
Develop, implement, and update age-appropriate individualized plans of care.
Monitor vital signs, pain levels, growth, development, and treatment response.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments.
Calculate and verify weight-based medication dosages.
Recognize and respond promptly to pediatric emergencies and changes in condition.
Provide developmentally appropriate care and emotional support.
Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, disease management, and discharge needs.
Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Follow all patient-safety and infection-prevention standards.

Qualifications
Active RN license for the state of practice.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Current PALS certification.
Minimum of one year of recent pediatric nursing experience.
Experience caring for infants, children, and adolescents with acute and chronic medical conditions.
Strong pediatric assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills.
