The function of the Quality Supervisor is to assist and support the Quality Manager in the management of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure product quality requirements. They receive their authority from and report to the Quality Manager.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate activities and processes of Quality Control Specialists and Metrology Personnel.
- Responsible for the continual monitoring of all products during manufacturing to assure conformance to established product specifications.
- Maintain Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and documentation in SharePoint.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, engineers, supervisors/managers to develop, implement, and maintain quality controls and improvements.
- Assist, track, and report non-conformance findings to appropriate departments.
- Perform and lead root cause and corrective action analysis on non-conformances.
- Manages and maintains calibration and external gauge/fixture management programs including gage replacement and inventory.
- Perform and document internal quality audits of QMS.
- Assist with customer and API audits of Benoit’s QMS.
- Maintain and track Benoit’s training program with department managers to ensure compliance and product quality requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager and may serve as “designee” in their absence.
Qualifications may include, but are not limited to:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/management, or equivalent field, or High School Diploma or GED with 3–5 years manufacturing experience
• 1–3 years supervisory or leadership experience
• Experience with audits (internal & external)
• Strong knowledge of QMS and ISO 9001 standard
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in quality inspection tools and measurement equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Strong leadership skills, troubleshooting, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record and pass motor vehicle report (MVR) checks
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to:
• Effective verbal and written communication in English
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English
• Sufficient visual acuity to perform job duties safely and accurately
• Ability to work in office, warehouse, production, or outdoor environments as required
• Lift, move, adjust, push, pull, and carry objects to waist height up to 30 lbs with assistance and 50 lbs without assistance
• Occasionally Lift, carry, move, push, pull and adjust objects from waist to shoulder height up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Frequent standing and walking for extended periods throughout shift
• Frequent use of stairs
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
• Use of handheld tools and measuring devices
• Fine motor skills for measuring and inspecting parts
• Frequent use of copier, printer, phone, and computer
• Exposure to all outdoor weather elements, temperature extremes, and noise
