Job Description
The Assistant Director is responsible to assist the Director of Childcare Services, or the Program Director, with administrative functions of the center as assigned, and in compliance with state and local regulations, Catholic Charities policies and procedures, and accepted early childhood practices. In the absence of the Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for day-to-day supervision of Lead Teachers and Teachers, or Family Child Care Home CoordinatorsProvide leadership in the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and child assessmentAssist the Director with administrative duties, which may include enrollment interviews and parent visits, intake, file and account maintenance, collection and deposit of tuition, ordering of food and supplies, meal and snack planning, staff scheduling and calling substitutes, preparation of bills for payment, and preparation of month-end third party billingAssist the Director in developing and fostering parent participation in the program, which may include a newsletter, parent social events, conferences with teachers, volunteer activities in the classrooms, parent council, and other activitiesMay temporarily serve in a teaching capacity to cover for the absence of a regular teacher, or in family childcare may serve as a home coordinatorAssist the Director in planning and implementing other projects as requested, e.g. accreditationFollow through with all Agency directives, and assigned tasks and projects, in a professional and positive manner, respecting supervision and constructive criticismModel the CCAB mission statement to “respect the dignity of all people”Attend all required meetings and trainings, which may involve evening hoursDemonstrate a willingness to work cooperatively with colleagues Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and professional responsibility, including maintaining confidentiality, to children, families, staff, colleagues, the Agency and the community.Have a plan (IPDP) for his/her own professional development, staying current in the field through attendance at workshops and conferences, reading relevant literature and/or taking courses, staying current in the PQ RegistryPhysical, mental and emotional ability to accomplish the job, including evacuating the building, with or without corrective devices and accommodations, including the ability to read and write, to hear the conversational voice, to speak and be understood, the ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 poundsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS

The base pay range reflects what Catholic Charities reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation in this range may be determined based on other factors, including but not limited to work experience, education and specialty training.
