Maintenance Technician | Construction & Remodeling
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Occasional On-Call Responsibilities

What You'll Do
- Perform demolition and renovation work in vacant apartments, homes, and other spaces throughout Cedar Community
- Complete carpentry, framing, drywall installation, painting, trim work, and other general construction projects
- Install, replace, and repair windows, doors, cabinets, fixtures, appliances, hardware, and other building finishes
- Complete basic plumbing repairs and other maintenance tasks associated with renovation and remodeling projects
- Support construction and remodeling projects by preparing spaces, completing repairs, and installing new materials and finishes
- Inspect completed work to help ensure quality craftsmanship, functionality, and attention to detail
- Safely operate common construction tools and equipment while following established safety procedures
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout construction and renovation projects
- Identify repair needs and determine appropriate solutions to support the upkeep and improvement of community spaces
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects efficiently and meet facility needs
- Respond to on-call responsibilities as needed to support Cedar Community’s maintenance operations
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
What You'll Need
- Two to four years of experience in construction, remodeling, carpentry, or a related skilled trade preferred
- Working knowledge of carpentry, framing, drywall, painting, and general construction techniques
- Experience installing or replacing windows, doors, cabinets, fixtures, appliances, trim, and hardware preferred
- Ability to perform basic plumbing repairs and general maintenance tasks
- Comfortable and safe use of common construction tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, follow project requirements, and complete work efficiently
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Willingness to participate in on-call responsibilities as needed
