Course description: Analyzing social situations through the lens of concepts developed by the most important schools of critical thinking and the approaches in social movement studies.

Required experience and qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in philosophy, the humanities, or the social sciences, or equivalent experience
  • Research experience in social movements and an excellent understanding of their diversity
  • Professional or activist experience within one or more activist organizations is a plus
  • Teaching experience
  • Passive proficiency in the second official language
  • Sensitivity to multiple differences (including abilities, genders, and cultures) and to students' concerns.
  • Proficiency with both in-person and online learning tools
  • Participate in three scheduled teaching meetings with members of the teaching team of the School of Social Innovation during the term
