You will play a key role in defining best practices for database design, high availability, automation, and performance optimization. Accountabilities:

Provide advanced database administration support across production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of critical systems.
Partner closely with application development teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance database-driven applications.
Perform full DBA lifecycle responsibilities including backups, recovery, upgrades, patching, cloning, and failover testing.
Design, document, and maintain database architecture, including data dictionaries, data mappings, and dependency diagrams.
Review DDL scripts and application code to ensure efficient and optimized database usage.
Support database design and implementation for new applications, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and minimal downtime during migrations.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues across database and application layers in real time.
Collaborate with L1/L2/L3 support teams and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure system stability.
Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives for database management and deployment workflows.

Requirements:

10+ years of hands-on Oracle database administration experience in mission-critical, 24x7 environments.
Strong experience in full database lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, backups, recovery, and cloning.
Software development experience with languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript, Go, Node, or similar.
Solid understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and enterprise infrastructure environments.
Experience designing and maintaining enterprise data dictionaries and supporting ETL processes.
Strong ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
Familiarity with database design concepts including ER diagrams, data modeling, and data warehousing.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with exposure to ITIL practices.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills in cross-functional technical teams.
Ability to work independently in high-pressure, production-critical environments.
