You will operate within a highly collaborative engineering and operations ecosystem, contributing to a major digital transformation across cloud and on-premise infrastructures. The position blends deep technical DBA expertise with strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration across development, architecture, and support teams. You will play a key role in defining best practices for database design, high availability, automation, and performance optimization. - Provide advanced database administration support across production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of critical systems.
- Partner closely with application development teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance database-driven applications.
- Perform full DBA lifecycle responsibilities including backups, recovery, upgrades, patching, cloning, and failover testing.
- Design, document, and maintain database architecture, including data dictionaries, data mappings, and dependency diagrams.
- Review DDL scripts and application code to ensure efficient and optimized database usage.
- Support database design and implementation for new applications, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and minimal downtime during migrations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across database and application layers in real time.
- Collaborate with L1/L2/L3 support teams and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure system stability.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives for database management and deployment workflows.
- 10+ years of hands-on Oracle database administration experience in mission-critical, 24x7 environments.
- Strong experience in full database lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, backups, recovery, and cloning.
- Software development experience with languages such as Java, Python, TypeScript, Go, Node, or similar.
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Experience designing and maintaining enterprise data dictionaries and supporting ETL processes.
- Strong ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
- Familiarity with database design concepts including ER diagrams, data modeling, and data warehousing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with exposure to ITIL practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills in cross-functional technical teams.
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure, production-critical environments.
- Competitive salary range of $150,000–$165,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications
