JOB SUMMARY
The Physical Therapist assesses patients’ strengths, weaknesses, and functional limitations to develop effective, evidence-based treatment plans. Using current physical therapy practices, the Physical Therapist delivers high-quality care aimed at achieving superior clinical outcomes and improving each patient’s quality of life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy care to optimize clinical outcomes
- Prioritize patient care needs and manage caseload effectively
- Provide direct patient treatment using evidence-based techniques
- Evaluate patient history, physical capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation potential
- Establish and implement individualized treatment plans with functional goals aligned with physician orders and patient tolerance
- Educate patients on treatment plans, home exercises, recovery expectations, and injury prevention
- Document patient findings, progress, and treatment sessions in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide ongoing progress notes and updates on patient condition
- Manage patient discharge, including formal discharge or documentation when a patient self-discharges
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and the healthcare team regarding patient progress and needs

QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of injury treatment, recovery, and prevention
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift equipment necessary for patient care
